"Destruction. I had to destroy. My perfect world was no longer. Nothing would ever be the same again."Hot chaos! I came into this book somewhat blind and because this is my first book from the author, I have no idea what I'm getting myself into. I just know that the cover model was hot (the same model for Harper Sloan's Locke) and that the synopsis made me curious in that way that I want to read it. So yes, chaos. Chaotic. Nashoda Rose took me on a gripping, exhilarating, sexy ride with Deck and Georgie.
Being best friends with Georgie's brother, Connor, Deck made it his life's purpose to make sure that Georgie is safe and protected after a tragic event changed both of their lives. Deck wanted to keep his word that he will take care of Georgie. I loved reading the vulnerable side of Deck, that Prologue was a glimpse of how Deck loved and not just Connor but his family, too. He was gentle yet as heartbroken as the rest of the family. It was sad and painful to read but so genuine.
"Everything I'd made into a neat and tidy place was no longer. It was all gone. Nothing would be perfect again. My world just burst open, and I was bleeding. It hurt. God, it hurt."From being a neat freak to wanting "chaos" in her life, Georgie's life or how she lived her life changed that day she got the news about her brother. And remember I mentioned I dived into this unprepared? Well, I might have shed a few tears reading the Prologue and then a few more times all throughout the story. I can say Nashoda Rose was successful in gaining another fan in me. Tears, love and alpha-sexy guy? She wrote it all well!
"Fuck, I loved her. Always had. I'd do anything for her and maybe it was crazy loving someone as much as I did her, but Georgie was the good in me."Reading Deck and Georgie had me crying one minute and then wanting to do them both bodily harm the next. It was crazy. They were both crazy. At first, at least. Deck trying to put a barrier between them yet being all protective and jealous (yeah, well, he was in denial about this) when Georgie does something crazy and then there's Georgie trying to tease and kid (yeah, she's also in denial) Deck into something more knowing that drives him crazy. So, see? Two crazy characters who made me crazy. But I enjoyed the ride! Once they admitted their feelings for each other, it was a hot, thrilling ride from then on out. There were a lot more to their craziness though, individually, they're both carrying some sort of guilt and their own way of coping which in Georgie's case, was a terrible one.
Aside from the alpha vibe going on and all the emotional things that happened in their story, Nashoda Rose inserted a good amount of mystery and action, enough to make Perfect Chaos a perfect reading experience! And although the next book is about another characters' story, the way Perfect Chaos ended made me want it to be 2015 already!!!
