Where do babies come from?

The question every parent dreads hearing has finally fallen from the lips of six year old Ava Banks, the curious, precocious little girl that you fell in love with in Ignite. Jeremy and Sierra, normally blunt as can be, struggle to find the right words to answer her. So instead, they rewind sixteen years to that one fateful day where a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven inevitably led to life-long romance filled with laughter, love, and many, many mishaps along the way.

Falling in love with your best friend? It's the most incredible thing in the world. But when a love comes so easily, will it truly be able to last? When the world comes crashing down around you, can even the strongest relationship withstand great tragedy?

Stay tuned for lots of laughs, teenage awkwardness, a few tears, and most of all, mullets. Because what good love story doesn't do business in the front, and party in the back?

**While Fusion is a standalone romance, it’s best read after Ignite.

Ignite (Explosive #1)

“It’s fine, Jeremy. I promise. I have no problem being the Tod to your Copper. Or the Joey to your Dawson. That’s who I am.” She hesitated for a brief moment. “That’s who I’ll always be. You’re my best friend, Jeremy. It’s okay that you don’t see my boobs. Hell, it’s probably better that way.”

My stomach plummeted and if I was man enough to admit it, my eyes burned with an unexpected rush of tears. I stepped back, out of the streetlight so she couldn’t see me. It was a move she misinterpreted, but before I could find a single ounce of courage, she was waving goodbye and running into her house, leaving me there to watch her go.

Something I never wanted to do again.

It wasn’t until after Sierra left for Ohio and I had a chance to reflect on her words that I realized what she’d said. Dawson and Joey, as of right then, weren’t even speaking. Copper and Tod went their separate ways, and even though their friendship remained, they were still apart for the rest of their lives.

I didn’t want to be Copper anymore. I sure as hell didn’t want to be Dawson.

But it was too late. I’d lost my chance. I’d missed my window. Sierra was gone and there was nothing I could do about it.

Jenna was right.

I was an idiot.

I'm a twenty something book junkie who is also obsessed with sports. Bengals, Buckeyes, Reds are my teams! I work for the government during the day, hang out with Air National Guard on the weekends, and have been married to my own book boyfriend for over seven years. We currently live right outside of Dayton, OH with our two cats.

If I’m not writing or looking through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find me curled up with my Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. I love my sports almost as much as I love my books. My other obsessions include red wine, country music, and all things Grace Potter.

REVIEW: And In Time - Jettie Woodruff

Title: And In Time...
Series: Book 1 of 2
Author: Jettie Woodruff
Release Date: May 27, 2015

2 Riki and Mr. Dog Stars
(unedited) ARC received from the author for an honest review

I have mixed emotions whenever I read a book from a new-to-me author. I'm both excited to discover new characters and stories to adore and at the same time worried that my excitement will turn to disappointment that I won't be as into the story as I hoped I would be. That's how my And in Time... experience was because this is my first book from Jettie Woodruff.

And in Time...'s blurb caught my interest, somehow I find the new-in-town and starting-all-over appealing and rather inspiring, so I was all over this when I received my ARC. Unfortunately, after around 15%, I felt like DNF-ing already. I couldn't focus on what was happening in the story and find myself re-reading sentences or going back a paragraph or two because I was confused with who was talking, where they were at, and what is happening. The transition of the scenes were mostly choppy and several names were thrown in making me feel like I missed their introduction, hence, the confusion and the re-reading on my end.

However, I'm always a curious bee and since I really liked the blurb and the main characters are interesting, I soldiered on to read their story. I'm very sad to say, though, that it was bland for me. The story itself was interesting, what didn't hold my attention was how Alexis and Cory's story was delivered. It was like watching a steady flow of river. Just that... steady. There were no emotional highs and lows for me and there were a few surprises where for me, as a reader, thought they would add to the emotional aspect of the book. Unfortunately, even how the surprises were dealt with fell flat for me.

What held my interest enough to finish the book was Riki and how cute she is. Oh, Mr. Dog, too. I did mention that I'm a curious bee, right? Well, I'm curious how Book 2 is going to go especially since it's 1 year later after And in Time...

Extra Comment: I hope book 2 gives more justice to Alexis and Cory's love story.

REVIEW: The Road Back to Us - K Webster

Title: The Road Back to Us
Series: No. Standalone
Author: K Webster

Release Date: May 4, 2015

5 Us Stars
ARC received from IndieSagePR for an honest review

"It was a rocky-as-shit journey, but Care and I, we're on the road back to us."

I have yet to read every single K Webster book that's been released but I've read enough to say that The Road Back to Us is easily my new favorite K Webster book. Shh! Don't tell Jackson!

This is the story of Bentley and Caroline. They have been together since college, built and pursued their dreams together, made all their plans a reality together but somewhere along the way, Bentley and Caroline's relationship seems to be evaporating right before their very eyes and Caroline has just had enough of feeling 2nd priority to Bentley's career.

"I wonder if we can fix this. I wonder if we can harness the love we once had and ride it together. I wonder if we can live happily ever after."

Caroline felt like the Bentley she loved and married was replaced by a robot who has been swallowed up in making money, money, and more money. She's had enough that she filed for divorce without Bentley's knowledge. It also didn't help that she thinks Bentley is having an affair.

In a way, I can completely understand Bentley's drive to work and provide for his wife everything that they have dreamed of and more. It's just that he seemed to be more focused on his career and earning more than he is in spending quality time with his wife using all that money he's worked so hard for.

Before I started reading this, I asked the author if I would need tissues and ice cream when I start The Road Back to Us. She said no. I read. And then I cried. It must be because K Webster has written this story in dual POVs and she has written it so wonderfully well, the emotions were strong and I found myself in tears and heartbreak more over Bentley's POV. So I can forgive her this time for making me cry when she said there will be no tears for me. ;)

Both characters have good arguments, understandable points about their present relationship. However, I connected more with Bentley and as the story progressed, I hope Caroline spoke to Bentley more about their issues. I hope she was more strong and determined in making Bentley see that they do have a problem. Given, Bentley should have listened to her in the first place, but heck what do you expect from guys? It's like you should hammer their heads hard for them to understand everything about women and relationships. So yes, I wish Caroline made sure she did everything she can and really have that sit down with Bentley before deciding on divorce.

The Road Back to Us is a beautiful story about married life. That open-communication is always best, no matter what. Talking about things prevents problems along the way and this is a huge thing in Bentley and Caroline's story. That storm and being stranded allowed them two to really talk without the distraction of work and I love how Bentley was easy to admit that he was wrong and he made not-so-smart decisions when it comes to their relationship and even though it took a while, I'm glad Caroline was able to say everything she feels, being taken for granted hurts but it hurts even more when you've been together for a decade and you're married. You're not just boyfriend-girlfriend but married, you took a vow so that's double the effort and commitment.

"All you have to do it ask, baby, and I'll be there in a fucking heartbeat."

K Webster wrote a wonderful story with this one! Emotional dialogues, passionate scenes, and witty banters... Bentley and Caroline is now added to my favorite reads of 2015 shelf!

Stars: 5 stars
Recommended to: Second chance romance readers.
Series: Standalone
POV: First person. Dual POV.
Extra Comment: Harley!!! And I want to read more on Bentley and Caroline's family life :)

BLOG TOUR, REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Trust (Temptation #3) - Ella Frank

Title: TRUST
Series: Book 3 of 3 - Temptation series
Author: Ella Frank

TRUST verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.
Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.
After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.
Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…

4.5 YES Stars
ARC received from Ella Frank for an honest review

Tate Morrison and Logan Mitchell are back! They are back and both of them are as sexy as ever. I have always counted them as my first ever M/M couple who I completely love and maybe a little bit addicted to and I cannot be more excited to have Trust into my very need hands after so long (it actually felt like it has been years).

My emotions are all over the place while and after reading Trust. Ella Frank surprised me by making cry. I cried, you guys! I want to keep this spoiler-free but I don't remember crying and being so worried when I read an Ella Frank book. Trust, compared to the first two books, is much more emotional but no less charming and sexy.

"Love him, and don't ever stop -- not even for a second."

Logan and Tate showed me what having complete trust in your partner and in your relationship can do to you, how easy and less complicated your relationship can be if you open up yourself and trust your other half. That not-so-little twist that Ella Frank gave L&T's relationship caught me off guard, my mouth dropped open like I was actually seeing what's happening with my own eyes and not just feeling and imagining it. It was a surprising turn of events but I saw how it was important for the resolutions to happen. I'll say everything really does happen for a reason.

By the end of the book, it was bittersweet for me. I don't want to let go of my two favorite guys but I'm also happy to see that their future is now looking brighter than when they first started. I'll say my .5 star rating is being held off because there were some things in the story that I wished were resolved or at least given a closure. Maybe it was the way Ella Frank wanted it to go about the side characters and story, but I feel like maybe, just maaaaaybe, we will be seeing L&T again. But either way, Trust is a heartwarming conclusion to one of the sexiest couples ever!

“What’s wrong with my hair? Are you saying I need to cut it?”
“No, I’m fucking not,” Logan said as he fingered the curls by Tate’s ear. “And you know it.”
“What would you do if I did shave my head?”
“Kill you? And likely get away with it since I have connections to a very reputable law firm.”
Tate chuckled and shoved Logan until he was on his back beside him. “Be serious.”
Logan turned his head on the pillow and ran his eyes over Tate’s full head of hair. Then he returned his gaze to the eyes watching him. “I would quite possibly cry. For days.”
“Over my hair? It does grow back, you know.”
“Yeah, but not for months,” he grumbled. “Can you please stop talking so calmly about this? You’re making me nervous.”
Tate shifted until his long, lean body was stretched out above him, and Logan widened his legs to allow him to settle in between.
“Don’t worry,” Tate assured him as he lowered his head to kiss the corner of his mouth. He then moved those teasing lips to Logan’s ear and whispered, “I like your hands in it too much to cut it off.”
Logan threaded his fingers through the thick waves and asked, “Like this?”
With a groan, Tate rocked his hips against him, and Logan twisted his fingers tighter.
Exactly like that.”
“Good,” he said as he wound his legs around Tate’s. “Because this way, I can have a tight hold on you when you’re trying to distract me. I’m onto you, Mr. Morrison. Don’t try to use your body against me.”
He almost lost his willpower when Tate, the cocky fucker, placed his hands on either side of his head and rubbed their erections together.
“You don’t want me to use my body on you?”
“Fuck you,” Logan said, knowing full well that, if he didn’t change the subject or get Tate the hell off him, he was going to roll him over and cease talking altogether.
Usually he’d love nothing more, but right now, he wanted to know why Tate had reacted so strongly to his question from last night—well, early morning .
“We need to talk.”

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: In The Mix (The GEGs #2) - Jacquelyn Ayres

Title: In The Mix
Series: The GEGs #2
Author: Jacquelyn Ayres
Genre: Erotic/Romance/Humor

Goodreads Book Link

*** This book contains the GEGs! For those of you who don't understand that warning:

GEGs= strong language. gut-busting LOL moments caused by best friends who check their maturity at the door when they're together, and impromptu Kegel exercises. This book does not come with batteries.

Though it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order since all books will have a continuation of EVERYONE'S story. Enjoy! ***

CiCi O’Brien has a weapon of mass destruction—her mouth. It’s always loaded and ready to strike, whether the situation calls for laughter or a professional smartass. It’s been her strongest defence against unwanted feelings over the past fifteen years. If she acts like she doesn’t care, then she won’t, right?

Yeah . . . keep telling yourself that, Ceese!

Luckily for CiCi, she’s surrounded by friends and family who can easily see through her façade. They (and the furballs she takes care of at work) are who enrich her life, have been the ones she’s needed. That is, until the day her life changed—when she grabbed it by the balls.

No, seriously . . . she grabbed him by the balls. Not kidding.

Kyle Cooper has it all. He’s smart, handsome, and a ninja (not really, but that’s what Mitch likes to call him). As vice president of Colton Technologies, he travels around the world with Mitch, bringing companies the latest innovations in automobile technology. At home, he’s a force to be reckoned with, always hanging out with his parents and sister or . . . working.

Oh.

Kyle Cooper does not have it all, and he’s ready for a change. He just isn’t sure where to begin. That is, until CiCi O’Brien walks into his office and grabs this bull by the . . . horns (wink), which causes a spark to ignite in both of them. Kyle embraces it. CiCi does everything, short of calling the fire department, to put it out. Who will prevail? And what will that win truly mean?

4 Tastes Like Peaches Stars
Review copy received from Bare Naked Words for an honest review

"Life is made up of all these events that happen. I think of them as ingredients. Everything we go through: joy, sadness, what have you; they're all ingredients. They get thrown in the mix. That batter, with all those ingredients, makes up who we are and who we end up being."

Goodness gracious! Has it been that long since I've read and reviewed Under Contract? How can I have forgotten how much Jacquelyn Ayres' words can make me laugh out loud? I remember cracking up when I read the first book but feeling that feeling again? Oh, fun times!!!

In The Mix can totally be read as a standalone, but if you've read the first book, you have met Cici already. CiCi is Charlie's (from book 1) crazy, carefree, hilarious sister. And then there's the slightly serious but can be equally as crazy as CiCi, Kyle. Kyle is Mitch's (Charlie's other half) best friend.

How do you write a review for a book that managed to make you laugh, chuckle, smile, giggle and smirk for 90% and then have tears rolling down your cheeks before you knew it? In The Mix lived up to its title, everything that has happened and how CiCi and Kyle are is a mix of their past and a mix of what they will be in the future.

I didn't expect to cry. With my experience of Under Contract, crying was the last thing on my mind when I started with In The Mix. But even though I was caught off guard with the tear-stained experienced, it was a good mix into their story. It wasn't all laughter and uber steamy scenes, it was also about hurt and healing and finally opening up all the way for love to take place 101% in.

"I have found the keeper of my balls, Mitch. I'm ready to hand them over."

If you haven't read The GEGs series yet, there is never a dull moment with Jacquelyn Ayres and her stories! Start reading this now and be swallowed up whole into the GEGs crazy-filled world! You will forget your problems. ;)

Stars: 4 stars
Recommended to: Readers who love some humor and laughter in their romance reads. This is right on target.
Series: Yes. Interconnecting characters.
POV: First person. Dual POV.
Extra Comment: I'm all up for the next GEG ;)

I am a domestic engineer (born and raised in NJ) whose sole responsibility is to guide three young, impressionable kids into becoming phenomenal adults. This challenging yet rewarding work requires a lot of love (coffee), patience (wine), and determination (periodic exorcisms). I work this magic from the beautiful state of New Hampshire. Before becoming a domestic goddess (not really), I spent over a decade in the medical field, where I wore more hats than the Queen. I have loved the written word and the great escape it provides since I was a little girl. When I wasn't reading about people and the places they lived, I was creating my own characters and adventures. Finding myself again through my writing in The Lost & Found Series, The One, and The GEG Series has been nothing short of a dream come true. Also, it makes people feel better when I laugh randomly or talk to myself, knowing it's my characters and not "the voices" . . . that would be creepy.
