WHAT THE BIG EFF WAS THIS?! This Diary of Bink Cummings just surprised the heck of me and I mean that in a good unexpected way. I'm not talking about a big twist kind of surprise, by the way. This was more a "not-my-usual-MC-romance-I've-been-reading" kind of surprised. I won't say I love, love MC romances but I do enjoy them a lot. All the biker badass alpha stuff plus the action and suspense that go with their stories were good elements to get me hooked when I start to read one.
When I started The Diary of Bink Cummings, I was expecting that "standard" thing going on in the biker world where the heroine gets in trouble and biker badass saves her ass and they live happily ever after. Now, don't get me wrong, I like those "standard" biker stories. I eat them up like a sourhead candy, hard, sour, and then the sweetness at the end. I live for the happily ever afters. But damn, this book just put me on a very bumpy ride. I admit it sort of started out slow for me, I wasn't sure how and where the story will go and I was having a bit of mixed feelings during the first couple of scenes. Those feelings weren't enough to have me stop though, I guess it's more of the anxiousness of wanting to find out what will happen after all those pushing and pulling that Bink and Big were doing.
The wait was worth it! It didn't take long exactly, but once Big made me really feel his... whatever he's feeling towards Bink... ahhhhh I couldn't stop! Big isn't the dreamy badass I'm used to, he's badass but he's also a bigtime jerk most days. He's hot and cold and I can say the same about Bink, too but one thing was clear to me -- even though it obviously wasn't that obvious to the two B's -- they both have deeper feelings for each other than they admit! Once you get to that part, I'm sure you'll when that part is it, you know things are about to get hot and heavy between them. Man, was it hot and heavy!
Dear Bink Cummings, I want to see Pretzel back and I am already looking forward to what happens to you after that exit you made! But will you let me know that you're Big's old lady now and that Pretzel is still with you and that you have 1 dozen Bigker (Big + Bink) biker kids already?!
