Tamed by K.A. Robinson Blog Tour Stop and Giveaway!
Tamed, Torn Series #5, is now live! This book focuses on Adam and Amber. Adam is the guitarist with a wild streak in the Torn Series band, Breaking The Hunger. Amber is the best friend of the main character of Torn, Chloe. Both of these characters have a wild streak, something you're aware of if you've read the other Torn Series books.
Tamed can be read as a standalone.
I hope you like your rockers a whole lot dirty, because with Adam, that's what you'll get.
Mistakes—my life has been full of them. Time and time again, I’ve tried to change, tried to make the right choices, but it doesn’t matter. I always screw up.
I hoped that Adam would be different, that he wouldn’t be a mistake. Our relationship was supposed to be about sex and nothing more.
Fun, easy, simple—that was what we wanted.
But things are never simple, not for me.
Adam changed me. He made me the person I am today. I hate who I am and what I’ve become. I'm not proud of the things I've done.
I thought my greatest mistake would be falling in love with him.
I was wrong.
My greatest mistake is much, much worse.
I’ve lost control.
I have a secret I can’t hide.
It’s going to destroy everything.
My name is Amber, and this is my story.

4 Emotionally Messy Stars
ARC received from the author for an honest review
K.A. Robinson manages to surprise me with every book she writes. Her first books in the series which are about Drake and Chloe (friends with Tamed's MCs) are only one of a handful of books including love triangles that didn't make me throw my paperback on the floor, on the wall, or basically anywhere. Believe me, I wanted to but surprisingly, I didn't. I couldn't let go. I just had to finish them. Now, with the fifth book in the Torn series which is now about Drake's bandmate, Adam, and one of Chloe's bestfriends, Amber, I wanted to throw my Kindle and I did. On my bed. We don't want to smash my baby now, would we?
When I started reading the Prologue, I knew the author had me again. I knew even though this book might get me frustrated and swear like a sailor at the characters that I won't be able to stop. I knew she'll suck me in and won't let go until my emotions and thoughts are all over the place and I don't know whether to give it a 1-star for all the emotional turmoil or a 5-star for succeeding in making me feel the characters and their story. I was right.
Adam is a charming and sexy womanizer. Being in a band, I think that made it even more easier for him to go through different women as often as he wants to. Because really, good looks and being in a band are two ingredients on having your panties melt. But Adam isn't just about his looks and his popularity, he has a good sense of humor and despite his couldn't-care-less-aura, he really has a big, gentle heart. I liked how possessive he was of Amber, I didn't particularly like him when he starts being a jerk, but Adam as a person, he's easy to like and seems like an amazing friend to have your back.
Amber, oh Amber, the prologue took me to her relationship woes. That incident that made her what she is now. That made her believe nothing is as perfect as they may seem and that hearts can easily be broken. It was a trying time for her and usually, I tend to side more with the hero than the heroine when I read my books, but Amber touched my heart. She's so tough but still so vulnerable. She had her not-so-likable moments to me but those just increased my longing to be her friend so I can get some sense into her.
Adam and Amber had some really cute moments, a lot of sexy times and some pull-my-hair-out exasperating arguments and push-and-pull in their relationship. Seriously, I think half of the book, I wanted to lock both of them in the basement until they let everything out and hash whatever feelings they have. That or I'll punch them in the gut nonstop until they admit their feelings. But well, good thing it worked out everything in the end! K.A. Robinson always do this to me! Personally, I think she's one of the few authors who can pull off such a rollercoaster ride of emotions from me and no matter how annoyed I get with the characters, I always end up still rooting for them and cheering them on until the end. Besides, the author seem to know my weakness with Epilogues because after all the struggles and road bumps that Amber and Adam went through, it was all worth it in the end.
Is it too much to ask for more Adam and Amber but this time more happy and mushy times, now that the worst was over?
