REVIEW: Life Support (Breathe #2) - Zoe Norman

5 Sexy Owen Stars
ARC received from the authors for an honest review
I was a beta reader for this book

Rescue Breathing, the first part of this 2-part series by the fab duo, Zoe Norman, has left me panting and on my toes for more. More Owen. More Olivia. More love story. I was left with questions after Rescue Breathing, it was not a cliffy if you haven't read it yet. But the questions that built-up throughout the story was enough for me to feel all anxious, excited for what the next book holds for my new favorite funny and sexy couple.

Life Support. *sigh* Life Support was the perfect follow up and conclusion to the adorable couple that is Owen & Olivia. The questions I had in Rescue Breathing were answered in Life Support.

What causes Owen's nightmares?
Will Olivia, being a psychologist, help Owen?
Will Owen let Olivia help him?
Are we going to see more of Owen and Olivia as an official couple?
What possible drama and challenges could these two face in their relationship?
How are they as a couple?

All these and so much more are what's in store for everyone in Life Support. We see a whole new side to Owen, a flashback on his story which is freaking heartbreaking! So, Owen is not just a sexy, charming firefighter, he is also a loyal friend, a thoughtful lover, a wonderful son and brother, and simply a good, brave person. His easy-going nature, although it's not an act, it's also just his coping mechanism. I loved him in the first book, but now I absolutely ADORE Owen!

And Olivia? She's as sassy as ever but also supportive and can keep up with our hot stud. Seriously, those 2 give "f*cking like rabbits" a whole new meaning. The rabbits have nothing on their sex life.

Don't get me wrong, Owen and Olivia's relationship wasn't smooth-sailing, and I am perfectly fine with it. It made them real, genuine, because what relationship does not have their ups and downs? I'd say that would be too perfect, boring even. I love the little drama and jealousy we had going on in this book. It balances out all the swoon worthy moments and the hot as hell scenes. Olivia's insecurities and Owen's  views in certain aspects of a relationship made for a realistic feel of their relationship.

As a beta reader for this book, I had the experience of reading Life Support in its early stages, when some scenes and dialogues felt choppy and unconnected and so reading the final, published version made me proud as hell with the authors for bringing into life Owen and Olivia's story. I'm going to miss the craziness of those 2, all the witty banters, naughty touches, and sweet gestures… Life Support had me smiling until my cheeks hurt and even cry from heartbreak for Owen.

If you're out looking for a book that's an amazing mix of everything good and not-so-good about relationships, Zoe Norman did a wonderful job writing about it in Life Support and Rescue Breathing. There is no dull moment in this book. You'll go from smiling to curious to laughing to crying to needing a cold shower in every flip of the pages!
