Synopsis

She’s hiding something from me and I need to know what it is. I’ve done so many things I never thought I’d do for this woman and it kills me that she’s lying to me. How can I make her see that she can trust me? Do I want to know the truth? Sometimes things are easier when they’re left unsaid…

4 Game-Set-Match Stars
ARC received for an honest review

…and that's it. Game, Set, Match for our ridiculously sexy British tennis superstar.
After the suspense build up in the first 2 installments in this serial by Missy Johnson, I was excited to read how Ryder and Scarlett's story will conclude.

What is this secret that Scarlett is keeping from Ryder?
Will Tony keep his word and stay away from Scar and Jake?
How will Ryder handle Scar's secret?
Let's not also forget little Jake's condition, will he get better?

Fortunately for us, Missy gave us the answers to these questions and more. There's a little shocker in this conclusion that made me go WOAH and thought it was a nice touch. I just wished there was a build up for that one. I get the surprise effect but personally, it would have made more of an impact for me if there was something hinting to that because how it went in this conclusion felt somehow rushed.  Maybe it's because this is only a 3-part serial novella, so I understand the length and word count limit and all that but even with this, I enjoyed how everything was answered and resolved and so much more. That sweet ending. Is it really the end?

Stars: 4 stars
Recommended to: Serial novella fans. Sports/Athletes love story junkie like myself.
POV: First person. Dual POV.
Series: Yes. 3-part serial.
Extra Comment: Maybe it's meant to be an open-ended story (hopeful fan here) but how it ended left me hanging.

About Missy Johnson

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
