5 Parker and Chance Stars
I was a beta reader for this book
I think I mentioned enough times that M/M romances (as with F/F romances) are a touch and go genre for me. I can only name M/M books in one hand that I enjoyed, loved, and didn't cringe reading. I have nothing against M/M and F/F, but it's different reading about it and having my own imagination picture them intimately.
Crossing The Line is one of the very few M/M romances that didn't make me run for the hills. Because I'm already familiar with M.D. Saperstein's and Andria Large's writing style from the first 2 books in this series, I gave Crossing The Line a chance with no second thoughts. I laughed and even cried when I read Hey There, Delilah and Unmasking Charlotte, so why not read Crossing The Line, too? It was a bonus that I was a lucky girl because I got to beta this baby!
"Can you like something but hate it at the same time?
Can you want to keep going but simultaneously want to stop?"
This is what Crossing The Line is about. At least for Parker Hamilton it was. A line that he's about to cross over. He has no history of having any kind of intimate relationship with a guy. He's rich, a superstar, famous, he may not have the best family but he have the world's best friends who treat each other like they're blood-related. When he started having more than platonic thoughts towards Chance… he didn't know what to do. Should he give Chance a chance? (Ha! Love saying that.)
Chance Steele, cocky, confident, sweet, he's a lot more open about his preference and sexuality than Parker is. He's so confident that he pushed and pushed Parker to embrace what he's feeling. To not fight the attraction between them. He made Parker feel that there's nothing to feel embarrassed about, that what they're feeling is normal. It also helps that they're doing a movie together that lets them be intimate with each other and Chance being such a forward dude, took that opportunity to get really close to Parker, use the movie as an excuse to "practice" their sexy scenes.
Their relationship has had a lot of push and pull, pushing from Chance and pulling from Parker mostly. But I had a really good time reading their story. I couldn't pick one who's more lovable than the other. Who's more funny, who's more sexy, both Parker and Chance made me crush on them hard. They'll do something that makes me want to hit them hard and then the next page, they'll have me smiling like a crazy girl.
M.D. Saperstein and Andria Large, like with the first 2 books, made Crossing The Line an incredibly fun read but still not losing the deep emotions that go into the story. This is not just about a love story of 2 guys, this also a family and friendship story. Being a fan of Hey There, Delilah and Unmasking Charlotte, it was exciting to see all the characters together again and getting a sneak peek on what everyone's been up to after their own books ended.
