What a wild and crazy ride this book put me into! And the best part? I actually enjoyed the wild and the crazy! This is unlike most drug-using, rockstar romance that I've read so far. Stevie J. Cole did an incredible job frustrating me and at the same time rooting for Jag and Roxy to pull through. Well, mostly rooting for Roxy to put some sense and commitment into Jag's jumbled mind.

Jag Steele frustrated me a lot, he was an effective junkie rockstar who I loved to hate. And yes, that's frustrating. He was a man-whore, an illegal drug abuser with a willing mind but weak flesh. I say this because there were moments when he knows the right thing to do is stop using, when he's thinking clearly I honestly like his smart thoughts, but those are fleeting moments and then he gives in again to the urge and chase the high again.

Roxy was not one of his groupies. She does not stand for drug abusers and the perfect girl for Jag. She's not one to get too close to anyone, though. She felt like when she loves someone, they just end up dead. Then came Jag who messes up with her feelings, making her want to be with someone. I like this Roxy girl. She did make me eye roll but when she opened herself up, I like her backbone. I like how she handled Jag and how she didn't put up with his drugged up ass.

Okay, enough druggie talk, Jag and Roxy both have sad pasts. For Jag, I believe it contributed to his addiction. He wouldn't be too easily swayed if he had someone who loves him right by side showing him love, support and guidance. But then again, maybe he still will. Roxy's story isn't any better and it's bad in its own level but knowing how she grew up and reading how she is now, it's admirable that she became the opposite of how her life was before. Good opposite.

Jag and Roxy are a hot couple and we see a brighter side of their personalities when they are together. It's like they have their own bubble and everything is sunny and positive but separately, they still struggle with their own demons. More so Jag.

How will Jag defeat his addiction?
What is Roxy's role in this journey?
Will their love be enough to stand the challenges they will for sure face?

Stevie J Cole takes us on a journey of a rockstar's life -- this is not for the faint of heart but the pot of gold at the end is definitely worth all the frustration and heartache. It gives us inspiration and hope that things indeed get better.
