Review copy received from Pam Godwin for an honest review
I'll say this now, this is going to be one my reviews that is going to be short and sweet not because I didn't like it but because I'm left stunned, yet again, and honestly, I just don't know how I can review this and do it justice. Dead of Eve is not my typical read. At all. I may enjoy watching several sci-fi, dystopian, virus end of the world kind of movies but I haven't read anything with that genre. But Pam Godwin has the ability of popping my cherry and pushing me out of my reading comfort zone and that's what she did with Dead of Eve.
Dead of Eve had me holding my breath right from the very start. It was like watching a movie, waiting for everything to unveil, wanting to know what happened and what will happen now, wondering how will it end. It's obvious in the title and the book cover, this is not a rainbows-and-butterflies kind of book, this is horrifying, suspenseful, at times disgusting, yet completely captivating and addicting. I may also be a bit weird because I also cried.
I highly recommend this to readers of post-apocalyptic, feels like the end of the world stories that will leave you captivated and looking forward to what can possibly happen in the next books. Pam Godwin is not just one of my favorite authors, she's one of my favorite storytellers and reading and loving a book that I would have normally skipped on if I haven't loved her other books is proof on how Ms. Godwin can make anyone read anything she writes.
