★★★★✩
4.5 Freaking hot Stars for Jack, Laurelyn, and Ms. Georgia Cates!
Why have I waited so long to read this on my Kindle?!

Why? I'll admit at first, I didn't really think much about this book. Sure it's something I think I'll read, but not really get into it so fast. I have no idea why so I keep bumping it off on my list until last night... I gave in and I couldn't put it down!
Jack: "The stage lights shine in her face and common sense tells me she can't see me sitting in the dark corner at the back of the club, but that doesn't stop me from hoping."
Laurelyn: "His brow wrinkles as he looks at me. Damn. His eyes are mesmerizing, the kind you can get lost in with very little effort"

I liked the build up of Jack and Laurelyn's romance. There's none of those love-at-first-sight-can't-leave-without-you-after-meeting-you-for-an-hour crap. What's there is the attraction. The sizzling, undeniable, believable attraction between a young woman and a man. And with their arrangement, that attraction builds up to something more, something deeper and more meaningful than just their 3-month agreement and what they had was romantic and steamy it made me want to grab Jack from out of my Kindle and hug him and kiss him. Hehe!

I don't think I even disliked the characters as I normally do with most of the books that I've read. Jack and Laurelyn were easily likable during their first appearance in the book and they became lovable as the story continued.

I loved Georgia Cates's writing, how she wrote both the characters was simply amazing. Simple and amazing. It wasn't simple as in dull, it was simple that you can feel the emotions, you can easily imagine the situation, and the feelings without the flowery cheesy words or the excessive monologues and descriptions that can sometimes be annoying instead of helpful to the story. No. None. It was an enjoyable read because it was written well (okay, I may have noticed a few typos but they're so few, it's almost irrelevant and I can just shrug it off).
This is me after reading:

If you're wondering where's the .5 stars if I love this so much... it's in the cliffhanger. That one sucks balls because I cannot wait! I want my hands on the second book already!
