There's something about Pam Godwin's stories and how she writes them that always hypnotizes me. It might be because her stories are not just about romance but also packs action, thrill, and even sizzling sexy scenes. Or maybe it's the way she writes that leave me flipping through the pages until I've consumed every word she had wrote. Whatever it is though, I am not complaining.
Unlike her first books though, Dirty Ties is less dark and morbid and more mysterious and seductive and these two are my favorite things about Logan and Kaci's story. It's like every word that they think and say out loud are meant to seduce not just each other but even the readers. I'm sort of used to Pam Godwin's way of sexing it up with her characters; hard and rough. But with Dirty Ties, seduction level was high, passion was intense and the overall reading experience was like watching a movie from your imagination.
Two people who are unknowingly tied to a similar purpose. One driven by revenge and the other one driven by the desire to make things right and to break away from the leash of their families. This is the story of Kaci and Logan. Kaci - a rich and successful woman but goes home lonely and longing for someone to love. Wanting to break free from her family and experience the freedom and happiness she and Collin deserve, she's determined to do anything to make sure she set things right. And Logan - smart, sexy and focused on getting revenge for his family. What limits are they all willing to cross?

Pam Godwin takes us to a world where family does not mean a thing and where ties are tangled up -- crimes, lies, and loyalties are being tested. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and each of their roles in the journey of Kaci and Logan. When I first the read chapter, I thought to myself, "Uh-oh. Please let the guy be a jerk or at least a best friend with no romantic feelings for her", firstly because I was not in the mood for a love triangle read and secondly, I am not really huge into that kind of romance to begin with. And... I was safe! I breathe a sigh of relief as I continued on and they each hooked me right into their world. Exciting, mysterious and downright sexy world.
Fans of Pam Godwin or books with action and twists, Dirty Ties is a delectable, refreshing treat!
