"Where do I start? How do I even know who to trust?"
Escalation picks up where Instigation ended. Remember THAT ending? We'll get our answers and finish up asking more questions. Tessa Teevan is a talented author for writing something she hasn't done before, a romantic mystery thriller, that keeps me guessing until the end and at the same time makes smile during the sweet moments. There were quite a lot of smiles, I tell you. And even more, "OMG WHAT?" moments, too!
Rafe is such a lovable, mysterious dude and that adds even more to his already sexy appeal. Escalation introduces us to a deeper story of him and what he's really up to. I love him, I love Rafe. I love how he is with Brie (oh wait, I think I already said that in the first book,) if I thought he's wonderful in Instigation, he's amazing in Escalation and I can't wait for everything to unravel and see him be badass.
"Touch me. Kiss me. Devour me. Do whatever you have to do, Rafe, but please, never stop. I'm yours."
When I started Instigation, it took me a little while to really connect with Brie, now I just picked up with my liking her and rooting for her and Rafe. Brie is a realistic character, her struggles and decisions in life is something that I know can happen to anyone and I love that after all she's been through, there is someone like Rafe to have her back.
Tessa Teevan did a fantastic job with the continuation, her writing is consistent, her storytelling skills evolves as the story develops and I think that is a must to keep the readers' interest and to keep the readers hooked. So if you think that ending from Instigation left you hanging, get ready to hold on to your seats with Escalation!
Haven't read Instigation, yet? DO IT NOW! The questions you'll have on the first book will be answered in Escalation and will still keep you asking for more.
