Kristen Ashley is a GEM! She has been an auto-read, auto-buy for me since I started with the 'Burg Series and up until this moment, the first book in the Chaos series, Own The Wind, is my most re-read book! Now, Chaos is on its third book and even though I haven't gotten to reading Hop and Lanie's story in the second instalment, Ride Steady can be read as a standalone. 

What I love about KA's writing is that she always pull out emotions from me every single time I read her books and it's no secret that I love me some second-chance, years after, kind of romance and Ride Steady sort of falls under that category. As what Shy always says, "Gone for her", that's how I feel with KA's books.

Ride Steady is about Carson "Joker" Steele and Carissa Teodoro, who met in high school and saw each other again 7 years later. It's not like they were friends friends in high school, Carson was a loner with an awful home life but he was smart and good looking, and Carissa was a popular cheerleader with a loving family despite the tragedy they have suffered years ago but like we know, love is love. They may not have hung out when they were in high school but their feelings, especially Joker's, remained the same and just grew even more.

The young Carson Steele stole my heart, the young Carissa Teodoro made me smile, and the adult version of them both made me fall in love with them, with Travis, with their story.

POV: First person - Female POV. But with a few Male POVs in third person.
